There’s one misunderstanding about Linkou’s night to clear up first: it isn’t Mitsui.
Mitsui is a daytime-to-dusk affair. The actual night is on the Wenhua 2nd Rd and Wenhua 3rd Rd corridor, five to ten minutes’ drive south of A9 — craft bars, bistros, self-service KTV and Vietnamese hair-wash all lined up along those two roads. This piece only covers two ways to do it: the weekday after-work version, and the weekend version.

Airport MRT A9 Linkou sits on Bade Rd; from the exit it’s a five-minute walk to Mitsui Outlet (356 Wenhua 3rd Rd Sec. 1).
Beside the station at 350 Bade Rd, 1F, Black Sugar - Cocktail & Wine is rated 4.9 with two hundred-odd reviews — the closest cocktail to the platform.
South, Wenhua 3rd Rd Sec. 1 is the bistro belt, Sec. 2 meeting Wenhua 2nd Rd is the massage belt, and the short stretch of Minfu St has KTV and a wine bar. Driving or by cab, any two points are within ten minutes.
Weekday after-work version: done in three hours
Weekday Linkou is quiet, easy to park, no waiting. The rule for this version is not past eleven, so you make the MRT.
Seven, eat. Next to Mitsui at 358-2 Wenhua 3rd Rd Sec. 1, 啉啉精釀 Lim Lim Craft is rated 4.9 with ninety-odd reviews, craft beer with bar food; for a proper meal with a drink, 森BarMori at 40, Lane 249, Wenhua 3rd Rd Sec. 1 is the bistro route, three hundred-odd reviews at 4.7, no booking needed on weeknights.
Half past eight, a second drink. Best Brews精釀吧 (Best Brews) at 1 Wenhua 3rd Rd Sec. 1 is rated 4.5 with seventy-odd reviews and rotates its list often; non-beer drinkers head back toward Black Sugar and get straight on the train after. Going rate NT$200–350 a glass, posted prices rule.
Ten, massage. From the Linkou massage list, 純粹spa 專家越式洗髮 (Chuncui Spa Vietnamese hair-wash) at 551 Wenhua 3rd Rd Sec. 1 is rated 4.8 with five hundred and ninety-odd reviews, a hair-wash plus shoulders and neck, prices per the board; just want your legs back, 金足足體養生館 (Jinzu Foot Massage) at 89 Wenhua 3rd Rd Sec. 2, 1F, a hundred and sixty-odd reviews, foot session around NT$600.
Back at A9 before eleven.
Weekend version: afternoon to late night
The weekend version isn’t on a clock, but it faces three things: the Mitsui car-park queue, bistro waits, and the last MRT.
Do the shopping at Mitsui in the afternoon and leave before five to dodge the dinner-hour queues. S Bar By SOCIE 蒔SPA at 123 Wenhua 2nd Rd Sec. 1, 3F, carries “Linkou Mitsui” in its name — spa treatments plus a small bar, a hundred and twenty-odd reviews, one of the few places near Mitsui where you can sit from afternoon into evening.
At dusk head to Wenhua 3rd Rd; weekend bistros fill from half past six, so book 森BarMori or 浮島展悅 (Fudao Zhanyue) at 455 Wenhua 3rd Rd Sec. 2 (two thousand-odd reviews, 4.3) ahead.
The night forks.
To sing, the Minfu St stretch: 星光饗宴KTV (Starlight Feast KTV) at 12, Lane 394, Wenhua 3rd Rd Sec. 1, 2F, is rated 4.6 with two hundred-odd reviews, not many rooms, so phone ahead on Saturday nights; Cozy Mozy葡萄酒吧 (Cozy Mozy wine bar) at 85 Minfu St has thirty reviews at 4.9, a small regulars’ place for when you’ve sung and don’t want to go home yet. To sit and drink late, HighBall Cigar Bar at 28, Lane 191, Wenhua 3rd Rd Sec. 1 is rated 4.7 with ninety-odd reviews, cigars with whisky, budget NT$800–1,200 a head.
Massage to close — plenty run until around eleven on weekends: 澤澤舒壓庄旅_林口店 (Zeze Relax Lodge, Linkou) at 48 Wenhua 2nd Rd Sec. 2 is rated 4.7 with ninety-odd reviews; MrJack傑克先生運動按摩-傳統整復推拿 (Mr Jack sports massage) at 156 Wenhua 2nd Rd Sec. 1, 2F Room 1 has a perfect score and two hundred-odd reviews — hand it the back you’ve been dragging round all day.
Last train and the cab: don’t gamble
The last trains from A9 Linkou toward Taipei and toward Zhongli both leave a little after eleven, the Taipei-bound one slightly earlier. Check the day’s timetable on the Taoyuan Metro site before you go.
Missed it: a cab to downtown Taipei or Taoyuan takes twenty to thirty minutes, and expect the late-night surcharge; if you drove, call a designated driver — the National Freeway 1 Linkou interchange is right there.
If you drink, you don’t drive. Wenhua 3rd Rd moves faster in the small hours of the weekend than you’d expect.
Times to stay away
Wenhua 3rd Rd after ten on a weeknight is shops closing and an empty street — anyone chasing a crowd will be let down. Mitsui’s restaurants from seven to nine on Saturday night start at forty-minute queues; give that time to the corridor instead. Mitsui’s car park on a long weekend: take a cab, don’t drive in.
If you want a full bar district, Linkou can’t give you one; Taipei or Taoyuan’s Yiwen District are twenty to thirty minutes by car, and the Yiwen bar guide has a whole strip.
