Choosing a massage in Taoyuan starts with which district you are standing in, then how many hours you have.
This covers Taoyuan City, Guishan and Bade separately, with price bands and time slots. Prices are the common range on the floor; the posted menu wins.
Price bands first
Foot reflexology, forty minutes, NT$600 to 800. Full-body pressure or Thai, sixty to ninety minutes, NT$1,000 to 1,500. Villa-style spa courses from NT$2,000, no ceiling.
One shop may carry all three; the difference is what you order. Walk into a course-based house wanting only your calves loosened and you pay double for oils you did not need.
Taoyuan City: the big houses on Sanmin Road, and a different kind of shop in Yiwen
御手足悦按摩養生會館 at No. 272 Sanmin Road Section 2 carries 3,700-plus reviews, 豪足足體養生會舘(桃園店) at No. 685 Zhongzheng Road 3,200-plus, and 泰晶殿皇家SPA莊園-永安會館 at No. 655 Yong’an Road 2,500-plus. All three are a walk or a ten-minute ride from TRA Taoyuan Station.
Big houses have more therapists and can absorb walk-ins; on Friday and Saturday between nine and eleven they still jam, and without a booking the front desk wait starts at thirty minutes.
木築調理養生館-善足部 at No. 236 Zhongshan North Road has 2,000 reviews and 足不老養生莊園 at No. 77, 2F, Xinpu 6th Street has 2,300 — a size down, and on a weekday afternoon almost always available. 鬆• 生活足體按摩養生館 at No. 80 Daye Road Section 2 holds a perfect score across 1,800 reviews, the highest-rated of this group.
On the Thai side, 皇侍泰式Spa養生館-桃鶯一館 at No. 409 Taoying Road has 1,500 reviews and a heavy hand. If you want to fall asleep on the table, order something else.
The Yiwen district is a different animal. 澤也SPA靜心庄園_藝文店 at No. 979 Zhongzheng Road, 1,800 reviews; 點讚👍 足體養生會館 at No. 117 Tongde 5th Street, a perfect score across 1,300; 瑝緹御指-足體養身會館【藝文店】 at No. 99 Tongde 6th Street, around 1,000. This pocket leans toward course menus and private rooms, priced from NT$1,500 upward. If you have finished a round of drinks in Yiwen and want to walk to a massage, these are in the same block; if you only want your feet done, go back to Sanmin Road. Full list at Taoyuan City massage and spa; the drinking side is in second picks beyond Yiwen.
Guishan: A8 villa, or the old shops on Wanshou Road
Two lines, very different characters.
Step off at A8 Chang Gung Memorial Hospital station and 慕谷 Villa SPA莊園 龜山 林口店 at No. 67 Wenhua 2nd Road has 2,300 reviews — course-based from NT$2,000, for someone with a whole afternoon to give. 璽合泰式spa生活館 at No. 328 Fuxing 1st Road and 樂足軒足體養生館(龜山店) at No. 131 Wenxing Road, 400-plus reviews, drop back to NT$600 to 1,000 — the post-shift quick round.
Wanshou Road Section 2 is the old-school line. 正統按摩中心-30年老店 at No. 1315, 360 reviews: the name says thirty-year shop and that is the whole description, direct technique and no oils. 舒淇越式洗髮SPA at No. 1195, 1,200 reviews, and 金妤頭部養生spa at No. 839, 300 reviews, are the head-and-hair-wash line. A hair wash is not a substitute for massage; if your shoulders ache, do not order the wrong thing.
This stretch of Wanshou Road is off the MRT — scooter or cab. Evenings at A8 Chang Gung covers what the area looks like after dark; the list is at Guishan massage and spa.
Bade: the small houses around Fengde Road
Bade has no 3,000-review house, but its prices are the most honest of the three districts.
涵漾足體養生館 at No. 328 Fengde Road, 1F, holds a perfect score across 160-plus reviews, with a fixed roster of therapists and forty minutes of foot work around NT$600. 足輕亭 足體養生館 at No. 76 Fengde 2nd Road, 1,100 reviews and also a perfect score, is Bade’s most-reviewed foot house. The two are a short walk apart; if one is full, cross to the other.
足行家養生館 at No. 172 Guangfu Road, 480 reviews, 上采養生館 at No. 1162 Jianguo Road and 足旺泰式養生館 at No. 90 Dongyong 1st Road scatter around the Guangfeng and Danan area, a natural stop after Xingren Night Market. 美好 越式洗髮 八德 at No. 742 Jieshou Road Section 2 has 1,400 reviews — same reminder: a hair wash is a hair wash.
Bade’s problem is not the shops, it is the ride home. Transit is thin and most people drive; cabs after eleven take longer to arrive than downtown. List at Bade massage and spa.
The time-slot question
Nine to eleven at night is the crush in all three districts, the big houses most of all.
Weekday afternoons from two to five book easiest, and the therapists are not rushing. Friday or Saturday night without a booking, assume you will wait.
Getting there, getting back
Taoyuan City: TRA Taoyuan Station, with Sanmin and Zhongzheng Road a walk or short ride away and Yiwen about ten minutes by car. Guishan: Airport MRT A8, a little over twenty minutes from Taipei, but the last trains run early. Bade: Freeway 2’s Bade interchange, about fifteen minutes to Yiwen.
If you have been drinking, do not drive after a massage. Cabs downtown are easy; around Wanshou Road in Guishan and Fengde Road in Bade, call the car before you go in.
