The clientele on this line is fixed: Chang Gung staff coming off shift, commuters between A7 and A9, and people whose legs died walking Mitsui all day. Shops aren’t the shortage — a sorting method is. Type first, then how many hours you have and when you clock off.
Sort the types first
Foot houses start the moment you sit down: forty minutes, NT$600 to 800, the fastest loosening. Thai and full-body pressure run sixty to ninety minutes at NT$1,000 to 1,500 — a change of clothes, a block of time. Course-style spa is another matter entirely: from NT$2,000, oils, private rooms, half a day.
Walk into a course house off a night shift wanting only your shoulders loosened, and you pay double for oils you didn’t need. Posted menus final.
Guishan: the Chang Gung circle, plus the old Wanshou Road line
Off MRT A8, 慕谷 Villa SPA莊園 龜山 林口店 at No. 67 Wenhua 2nd Road carries 2,300-plus reviews at 4.9 stars — the most-reviewed course house on the whole line, often full on weekends, book first. Fuxing 1st Road runs dense: 璽合泰式spa生活館 at No. 328 with 220-plus reviews, 心豐軒視障專業按摩 at No. 82, 2F, with 140-plus at 4.8 stars — solid hands, nothing fancy — and 達觀養生館 at No. 306 with 130-plus. For the post-shift quick round, 樂足軒足體養生館(龜山店) at No. 131 Wenxing Road with 430-plus reviews is the foot-house answer.
Wanshou Road Section 2 moves at a different tempo. 正統按摩中心-30年老店 at No. 1315, 360-plus reviews at 4.7 stars: direct technique, no oils, in and out. This stretch is off the MRT — scooter or cab.
What A8 looks like after dark is in Evenings at A8 Chang Gung; the full Guishan list at Guishan massage and spa.
Linkou: the Wenhua corridor, highest foot density
Out of MRT A9, 千足 足體養生館 at No. 246 Wenhua 2nd Road Section 1 holds 970-plus reviews at 4.9 stars, and 悅足坊足體養生館 next door at No. 248-1 has 960-plus — two houses pressed together, so if one is full you cross over. That is Linkou’s advantage. 足御堂足體養生館 at No. 627 Wenhua 3rd Road Section 1 adds 560-plus more.
On the Thai side, 尊爵泰式spa養生會館 林口總店 at No. 225 Wenhua 3rd Road Section 2 carries 1,290-plus reviews at 4.8 stars — Linkou’s most-reviewed Thai house.
One more type, not to be confused: 筋棧【文一】運動按摩 | 肌骨平衡 | 深層放鬆 | 筋膜刀 | 美式整復 | 傳統整復推拿 | 骨盆調理 at No. 86, 3F, Wenhua 1st Road Section 1, 880-plus reviews at a perfect score, runs the sports-massage line and works deep into sore points; if you want to fall asleep on the table, this is not your shop. 順安傳統整復推拿 正宗深層按摩 at No. 563-3 Wenhua 2nd Road Section 1, 470-plus reviews at 4.8 stars, plays the same game. Full Linkou list at Linkou massage and spa.
How late they run
Most foot houses go to around midnight; course spas close early — exact hours per each shop’s posted schedule. Nine to eleven at night is the peak, and Friday or Saturday without a booking means thirty minutes of waiting or more. In the small hours after a night shift, few doors stay open — call before heading out. Weekday afternoons from two to five book easiest, and the therapists aren’t rushing.
Moving along the line
A7 Sports University station reaches Changqing 2nd Street, A8 Chang Gung Hospital station feeds Wenhua 2nd Road, and A9 Linkou station lands on the Wenhua corridor — every stop has shops. The MRT’s last trains run early, and cabs on Wanshou Road Section 2 or in Linkou’s side lanes arrive slower than at the A8 forecourt, so call the car before you go in.
