The question with karaoke in Taoyuan isn't whether there are rooms. It's which zone you're standing in and what time you want to walk into one. Three chains crowd the station front within a ten-minute walk; Bade has two budget rooms with dated gear and dated prices; Nankan has one Cashbox and one self-serve buffet. Read the table, then pick a direction.

City centre: three chains inside a ten-minute walk
Out of TRA Taoyuan Station, Cashbox, Kai Yue and Holiday Taozhong are all reachable on foot within ten minutes; Holiday's Fuxing branch at 70 Fuxing Rd sits a little further out and often still has a room when Taozhong is full. All three price by each chain's own board — room fees split by headcount, time slot and whether food is included — and this guide quotes no numbers. KTV rate cards change more often than the song list; the page on their website the day you go is the only accurate one.
What can be given is the pattern. Weekday afternoons are the loosest: rooms are mostly walk-in and the rate is the lowest tier of the day. After 8 p.m. it steps up, and on Friday and Saturday, walking into any of the three station-front chains after eight usually means the lobby — a half-hour to an hour's wait is nothing unusual.
If you want to sing, book.
If you'd rather not, 大萬KTV (Dawan KTV) at 104 Heping Rd is a small local room that's easier to walk into unbooked than the chains. The full list lives on the Taoyuan KTV guide.
喜悅庭園 (Xiyue Garden) in Lane 21, Nantong Rd and 桃園田庄純卡拉OK (Tianzhuang Karaoke) at No. 10, Lane 1294, Yong'an Rd are plain karaoke halls for older regulars, not private-room KTV. Tianzhuang closes every Monday — don't drive out on a Monday and find the shutter down.
Bade: two budget rooms, old gear, old prices
Bade has exactly two: 八德平價KTV (Bade Budget KTV) at 869-1 Xinxing Rd, 85 reviews and a 4.2, and 世外歌唱 (Shiwai Singing) at 362 Guangfu Rd, 66 reviews and a 4.0. Bluntly, the sound systems and decor belong to the previous decade and the sofas will tell you their age, but the prices stayed in that decade too — split among a group, it's a clear step cheaper than the city chains.
Who they suit: people who live in Bade, or who've just done Xingren Night Market and don't want another fifteen-minute drive into the city. For a first date or anything you'll photograph, don't bring them here; for newer gear head to the station front — the Bade nightlife guide says the same.
Nankan: a self-serve buffet, and an outdoor room you must reserve
錢櫃 南崁店 (Cashbox Nankan) at 265 Nankan Rd is Luzhu's only large chain, 1,761 reviews, fifteen minutes by car from the airport — the easiest place to burn two hours before or after a flight. Same rule as the city Cashbox: book on weekend nights.
點將家自助KTV (Dian Jiang Jia Self-Serve KTV) at 26 Luoyang St is the genuinely different animal in this zone: self-serve, with all-you-can-eat food and drink folded into the room fee, and still holding a 4.8 across 587 reviews. It suits company dinners and reunions of ten or more — groups who don't want to keep ringing for orders. Two people wanting a quiet night of singing will feel they paid for more than they used.
華聲戶外KTV-桃園店 (Huasheng Outdoor KTV) at No. 1, Alley 10, Lane 47, Section 1, Wenzhong Rd is a reservation-only open-air venue, good for birthday parties or a barbecue with a mic — but drive there without a booking and nobody will be there to receive you. 田野鄉舍 (Tianye Xiangshe) at 18 Luhong Rd is a restaurant with a karaoke room attached — a place you sing because you're already eating there.

Picking a time slot
- Weekday afternoon: cheapest and no wait, in all three zones.
- Weekday evening: the city centre fills after 8 p.m.; Bade and Nankan stay loose.
- Friday and Saturday night: unbooked at the three station-front chains means waiting, same at Cashbox Nankan; Bade's two rooms are the easiest doors in the city.
- After midnight: the city chains mostly run into the small hours — closing times per each venue's board; Bade and the karaoke halls close early.
Afterwards: supper and the way home
Finish singing at the station front and supper is underfoot: the salt-and-pepper chicken and stir-fry under the arcades on Zhongzheng and Zhongshan Roads mostly run past midnight, and the route is laid out in the station-front late-night food map. Finish in Nankan and walk toward Nankan Rd — far fewer places stay open past midnight than at the station, so keep expectations low.
If you came by TRA, the last train leaves around midnight; there's no clock in a KTV room, so set an alarm twenty minutes before it. Miss it and taxis or ride-hailing apps are easy to flag at the station front. Nankan has no TRA — Airport MRT A10 and A11 last trains follow the day's timetable, and after that it's a taxi.
If drinks were opened in the room, the keys leave your hands. Designated drivers are bookable at the station front and on Nankan Rd; this one isn't negotiable.
